LUMINARIA is a whimsical display of personalised luminaries honouring loved ones. Each luminary, purchased by donors from around the globe for a suggested £20 donation is uniquely displayed IN HONOUR OF or IN MEMORY OF your loved one(s). Hundreds of volunteers and donors come together to create each public display. What started along the coast of Boston in 2020 at the onset of the pandemic, now takes place in various cities in the United States and the United Kingdom.
LUMINARIA raises critical operating funds, and equally important, spreads awareness to families that will benefit from empowerHER UK’s life-changing programs. 100% of funds raised ensure that these programs remain at NO COST to the family.
The first London LUMINARIA took place on 9 March at Bishops Park in Fulham, West London.
